For more than two decades, City Investments has connected international standards with local capability. We manufacture, import, distribute, and operate businesses serving customers across the Maldives, built on relationships that began in 2005.
How the group began
City Investments began in 2005 with a shared idea between Ali Faheem and Mohamed Latheef: to bring better-quality, affordable products and services to customers in the Maldives.
The business began with City Bakery, the group's first operating unit and still an important part of the company today. From that foundation, City Investments expanded into new businesses, international distribution, hygiene solutions, food service, and hospitality.
“I first opened City Bakery in Malé back in 2005, in hopes of offering the finer pastries and breads to the local community.”

2005
City Investments (Pvt) Ltd is founded by Ali Faheem and Mohamed Latheef. City Bakery launches in Malé as the company's first business unit.
2011
Abdul Latheef joins as Director, expanding the Board of Directors to three members.
2013
City Innovative Hygiene launches.
2010s
The group expands into new operating businesses and international distribution partnerships.
2020s
Bread Matters expands the group's consumer hospitality portfolio.
Today
City Investments operates across manufacturing, food service, hygiene, hospitality, and international distribution in the Maldives.
